If you’re visiting Tokyo Disney Resort for more than three days this post might be of interest to you! If you have three monorail passes that have different dates on them you can receive a free pin and cute frame to keep your passes in. Doesn’t that sound appealing? It’s also your last chance to get them because they’ll be changing to a new pin from April 15th, 2017!
First of all, how can you say no to these cute monorail passes. Even though I know that for my wallet’s sake I should walk from Maihama station, the hoarder in me always wins and I end up buying a day pass for the monorail at Tokyo Disney Resort.
If you’re staying for consecutive days, with a 850 yen difference it’s definitely cheaper to buy one 3 day pass, but if you think of it as buying an exclusive pin for that amount it’s not too bad, right? Also, if you’re visiting for a day and only going back and forth once from the station it’s cheaper to just buy a one time use 250 yen ticket, but….it’s not cute and you don’t get to keep it.
I love the collaboration between DisneySea and the Resort Line on this pin! Mickey is wearing his 15th anniversary costume and doing the “To the shining sea!” pose. I also appreciate the bright colors and detail. I wish they would sell more pins like this in the parks.
There are slots inside the frame where you can place your monorail passes.
When the frame is closed it looks like the characters are looking out the little windows! Except for Goofy….
Monorail passes with dates from May 1st, 2016 through March 31st, 2017 are accepted at all resort line stations. Just talk to a cast member and they’ll check your passes and poke a little hole in them. Don’t worry, you’ll get them back along with your new pin! If you want to see pins and passes from past years you can check out the Resort Line site.
It looks so cute with the framed tickets and the pin. I would probably do the same!
I can’t wait to get this year’s pin :D
We only live an hour away from the park so it is a bit hard to justify spending a night or two at one of the hotels. Do you think staying the night is worth the cost?
Hmm, I think it depends on how often you go to the park. I only stay when I have friends that are visiting from far away for multiple days. It’s always very fun to stay at a Disney Hotel though and the early access makes you feel very special! :D
