When I went to DisneySea this week I chose the quick option of a sandwich and focaccia because I wanted to grab a nice spot to see The Villain’s World. I’m going to be 100% honest with you guys and say that Mamma Biscotti’s isn’t my favorite place to eat at all. In fact, if you’re just visiting for a few days, you probably don’t even need to put it on your “maybe” list. I just go because it’s close to the entrance and it’s easy take out food. Now, this is just my opinion and I am sure there are many, many people who love the pastries there.
This time I opted for the Prosciutto with Anchovy Sauce Sandwich and a Tuna & Corn Focaccia. I will say that the savory focaccia’s at Mamma Biscotti’s aren’t half bad. I actually really like the egg and bacon focaccia. As you can see I don’t have any sweet pastries and that’s because I’m not a huge fan. They have some really cute looking Mickey head shaped danishes though that look really good in photos ;D
So, here is my prosciutto sandwich. I didn’t really think too much about the words “anchovy sauce” until I had eaten a few bites. I definitely do not like anchovy sauce. I’m a little confused because I like peperoncino pasta and I know that they use anchovy sauce in that, perhaps it was a different level of fishiness because the sandwich had a very strong anchovy flavor. I also found that the bread was a bit more dry than I like.
Here is my tuna and corn focaccia. A little heavy on the mayonnaise, but I liked it much better than the sandwich. If you’re looking for a good sandwich I would suggest trying the New York Deli or Teddy Roosevelt Lounge. You can do takeout from the New York Deli, but you have to transfer your sandwich from the plate to a takeout box yourself and I find that’s a big hassle when I’m alone and in a hurry to grab a spot for a show.
