Hyperion Lounge: Sweet & Tasty Days

Yesterday I had the chance to go to Ambassador Hotel and have tea with my friend Ariel (who I co-own a Japan blog with! *shameless self-promotion*) Ever since the Valentines menu for the hotels was released I’ve been wanting to go. I finally got the chance to go to the Hyperion Lounge and try the Sweet and Tasty Days dessert set!

The courtyard between Ambassador Hotel and Ikspiari. We sat by the middle window.

There were a few guests when we arrived, but by the time we were done eating almost everyone was gone.

Such a fancy name! What is fromage anyway? Something with cheese…?

The super cute non-alcoholic cocktails my friends got.

We’re ready for our sweet desserts!

Too cute too eat and it looks just like the promo photo!

This is the Fromage Blanc Mousse!

Chiffon cake with pistachio cream!

Fruit sandwich with strawberry cream!

Mandarin Orange Sorbet. This was so refreshing!

The pink cup was made out of chocolate!

I totally forgot about the mug and got an iced drink. Oops!

I may or may not have kept the coaster…

The cocktail was a little bit too sweet for me, but it was so cute plus you get to keep the glass!

We didn’t try this, but if you order the cake set you can get this dessert during the Valentine season!

The mousse was a bit rich, but overall everything was delicious and the orange sorbet really helped balance things out. Most importantly it was super cute! I felt bad about destroying it at first, but I got over that pretty quickly. I’m not really a sweet sandwich person, but it’s a somewhat common thing here. You can find strawberry cream sandwiches at the convenient store sometimes.

And finally the adorable mug that came with my set! Don’t worry about taking sticky or used glasses home, guys. When you leave they will give you a brand new cup/mug in a box. I’m 99.9% sure that all the other restaurants are like this as well. Bella Vista Lounge at MiraCosta was :)
